New Patients
Welcome to Helping Hands Chiropractic Care! With a warm and caring staff and inviting environment, you’ll feel right at home as you begin your journey to healing and better health. Our team is made of highly qualified and naturally nice professionals. Every person who walks through the front door will be greeted with a friendly, “Hello, how are you? It’s nice to see you!”
The First Appointment
If you come in experiencing pain, we will take care of you and provide some type of treatment to give you relief. We will have you complete a health history, which helps Dr. Pete learn as much about your health needs as possible. He also will ask you questions about your health history, including any injuries you experienced. He’ll ask you what makes you feel better and what makes you feel worse.
It’s also Dr. Pete’s aim to do as much listening as possible. He then performs a detailed exam, and will take X-rays if they are necessary. Your X-ray results will be reviewed with you at this appointment.
Dr. Pete is happy to answer all of your questions. “I want patients to know as much about their health and their problems as they can so that they are equipped to make their own decisions about what’s good for their health.”
Please allow 45-60 minutes for this initial visit.
Regular Appointments
It’s our aim to see you as promptly as possible every time you come in for an appointment. You will get the procedures that were explained to you at the first visit. You likely will be given a chiropractic adjustment and some type of physiotherapy to treat soft tissues as well as the joint and discs that we’re treating with the manipulation. Also, you will likely be given some form of exercise to support your condition and give you some control over what’s happening to your body. These appointments typically take 10-30 minutes.
Do I Have to Commit to Lifelong Care?
It’s always your choice as to how long you want to get chiropractic care, but you likely plan to see your dentist for the rest of your life and your medical doctors for the rest of your life. Regular chiropractic adjustments can not only keep your spine aligned but help you experience better overall health. Given that chiropractic is good for you and it can help you feel great, why wouldn’t you want to receive care indefinitely?
